The domain name marketplace celebrates its five-year milestone, with more than five million domains listed for sale in its database.

Sedo, a domain name marketplace, is celebrating its five-year milestone, with more than five million domains listed for sale in its database.

Starting out with only 5 employees, Sedo has grown to an international company with close to a 100 employees. A total of 350,000 clients from 240 countries buy, park, and sell domains with Sedo, and 154 different domain extensions, such as .com, .de, and .co.uk, are offered for sale on Sedo's marketplace, where domain owners sell over 3 million dollars worth of domains each month, claims the company, claims the company.

Tim Schumacher, CEO of Sedo explained, "Almost all domains which are appropriate for business have already been registered, although the demand continues to grow. As a result, we are convinced that the secondary domain name market will continue to experience positive growth in the coming years, especially for new Top-Level Domains, as proven by the recent success of the .eu."

Web Hosting Solutions Provider Planet Technologies Discontinues “eQuest” Name


August 1, 2006 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Planet Technologies, whose services include ‘ready to deploy’ web hosting solutions, has announced they are discontinuing the use of “eQuest Division” as the name of their Service Provider Division, which now comes under the name Planet Technologies.

“Feeling confident that the industry knows of the merger, we are now ready to discontinue the use of the eQuest name,” said Scott Tucker, CEO of Planet Technologies. After the name change the division will continue to operate as usual.
